*Laporte PTO Scholarship Due March 7th – See your email for application

*MINNESOTA AMERICAN LEGION FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP-$500.00 – Applications are in the office. Due by March 15th

*Essentia Health West Market will award a $1000 scholarship to a graduating high school senior, continuing education in a healthcare related field. – Applications Due by April 1, 2025.

*Paul Bunyan Communications will award 2- $500.00 scholarships to our graduating seniors. – Applications are due April 1, 2025

 

*2025 Friends of Sanford Health Scholarship

Ten $1500 Friends of Sanford Health Scholarships are available to students in the SHNM service region and to present employees of Sanford Health of Northern Minnesota.  To be considered for one of these scholarships, an applicant must be pursuing a career in a health related field, and not have been a previous recipient.

This scholarship is contingent upon enrollment in an accredited school.  It will be sent directly to the financial aid office of the chosen school for credit toward the student’s educational expenses when a fee statement or proof of enrollment is received by the Scholarship Committee.

A complete application MUST include the following information:

*   Completed application form

*  Personal essay

*  Official transcript(s) from your current school

*   Completed REFERENCE Form by a counselor/principal or supervisor,

*   Completed EMPLOYEE REFERENCE, if a current SHNM employee

*  Completed by March 16, 2025.

Applicants are responsible to see that all necessary information is received by the committee. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Recipients of the scholarship will be notified by April 1, 2025.

*Northwest Minnesota Foundation is offering several scholarship opportunities for Laporte students.  Interested candidates may fill out applications found on the NWMF website located here: https://nwmf.org/grants-scholarships/scholarships/

Applications are due by April 15th and must be completed through their website.

*The Minnesota North College scholarship application is now open!  Students can apply for scholarships through April 1^, 2025. At Minnesota North College, we are proud to award over $900,000 annually in scholarships to help students succeed.  https://minnesotanorth.awardspring.com/

*Al Clark Scholarship-(2)$2000.00 scholarships available for Laporte students that plan to further their education at Bemidji State University.  Deadline:  March 14th, 2025. Please see Jessica in the office for applications.

*Harold Harris VFW scholarship-$500.00.  Deadline:  May 2nd, 2025.  Please see Jessica in the office for applications.

*Beltrami Electric Scholarship-$1000.00.  Deadline:  April 11th, 2025.  See Jessica in the office for applications.  .

• CHI St. Joseph’s Health Graduating Senior Scholarship  – $1,000 scholarship awards are available to graduating seniors from the communities of Park Rapids, Nevis, Walker-Hackensack-Akeley, Laporte, Menahga, Sebeka or home school who are going onto college, or accredited vocational school, pursuing careers in health care.
• CHI St. Joseph’s Health/Brian Koria Scholarship – $1,000 scholarship awards funded by CHI St. Joseph’s Health co-workers in memory of Brian Koria, is available to graduating seniors who are pursuing education in the medical field.  Graduates need to be from the communities of Park Rapids, Nevis, Walker-Hackensack-Akeley, Laporte, Menahga, Sebeka or home school
• CHI St. Joseph’s Health/Laurie Hohnstadt Scholarship– Park Rapids Only This $1,000 scholarship is available to a 2025 Park Rapids High School senior who plans to pursue a registered nursing degree.

• The Scholarship Application deadline is Friday, April 4, 2025

  Students may apply for more than one scholarship.
